New York Speeding Ticket Scam From Computer Solutions

We have been receiving several very odd emails of late, that look like a speeding ticket, issued by the New York State, Department of Motor Vehicles, So far we have received this a scam about 18 times at the time of this article. Computer Solutions thought that we should pass this on in our occasional "Scam Bulletin" We thought this was particularly odd as we have never been to New York and therefore slightly puzzled as to how a speeding ticket could therefore be issued. The email is displayed below and to the unwitting recipient could appear genuine, especially if the recipient has recently visited New York or travels abroad frequently. Further research shows that this scam first appeared in August 2010 and that there was a peak in its activity in July 2011. This scam is not actually that new and has been circulating for about a year. Computer Solutions recommend that under no circumstances, should you attempt to open the .zip attachment that goes with it. If you do then you may well find that your computer will be infected.
