Within 50 minutes of walking into John’s shop at 3 Park Street this morning with a desktop tower that had made a very sick and noisy exit from the World, or so it appeared the previous evening, a miracle! John is a very capable and skilled computer engineer who quickly got to the root cause of the problem, deep cleaned, serviced and changed a low cell battery, reassembled stuff and tested the tower before returning it. ‘We take our computers for granted most of the time, certainly I did, until our family computer developed a fault that shut it down completely. In panic mode I set about troubleshooting but made little progress other than to work myself up even more.

By chance I happened to find a local telephone guide to computer repairs in Kenilworth. On the second call I got through to a friendly and positive chap named John. In almost no time he put my mind at rest by assessing the problem, and offering to drive around that evening.

This week, I have had the pleasure of using Kenilworth Computer Solutions via Warwick Twittering community (thank you @WarwickTweetUp.) Via Twitter.

John is always suggesting topical computer related top tips and advising on solutions to current PC related issues/problems on the Computer Solutions website.

I wanted to replace my faithful 10 year old laptop, with something more powerful, faster and a larger monitor – but I didn’t know where to start! I checked the Which ? Consumer magazine website for their recommended Best Buys but their recommendations all seemed very expensive, with lots of things I felt I would probably never use.

So, it was with no hesitation last Monday evening that I gave John a ring at Computer Solutions. Based on my needs, John put together a PC Windows 7 package (hard drive, monitor, keyboard & mouse etc). Within 48 hours, he was in my house installing the new computer.

Now that’s what I call service!

John offers a refreshing style of service. I explained to John what I used my PC for (i.e. in the home, using mainly Microsoft Word & Publisher to produce/print booklets/flyers & posters etc for All Saints Warwick).

John listened and tailored a package/system to my requirements. At no time did I feel John was trying to sell me something that I didn’t need (how refreshing is that!) I have the comforting knowledge that John is on hand to help in the future i.e.

if I get stuck!!! I only have to pick up the phone. And finally, should the need arise in the future, my new PC is versatile/flexible enough to update and expand.
